Biography

Dr. Muhammad Zahid Iqbal holds a PhD in Management (specializing in Finance) from the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore. He earned his MS (Finance) from the University of Central Punjab, Lahore, and an MBA from Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan, and has cleared the CFA Level I examination. His research focuses on empirical finance, investor behavior, and systemic risk, with multiple publications in HEC-recognized journals. He is currently serving as a Lecturer in Finance at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore, since 2015. He brings valuable industry experience, including over six years in the UK corporate sector and nearly four years in a multinational beverages firm in Pakistan.
Dr. Iqbal actively contributes to academic administration, serving as Program Coordinator and Focal Person for Accreditation (NBEAC), and has previously served as QEC Focal Person. He is also an active member of various academic bodies, including the Board of Studies, Admission Committee, Board of Faculty, and Student Grievance Committee. He is also engaged in research and student mentorship, with his students achieving success in national-level competitions such as DICE and SECP mock trading contests. His teaching and consultancy areas include Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis, Financial Markets, and Risk Management, along with financial modeling and feasibility analysis.
