Powers and duties
- The Finance and Planning Committee shall consist of –
- (i)the Vice-Chancellor (Chairman);
- (ii) one Dean to be nominated by the Chancellor on the recommendation of the Vice Chancellor;
- (iii) one member of the Syndicate to be appointed by the Syndicate;
- (iv) two members of the Academic Council to be appointed by the Academic Council;
- (v)two nominees of the Chancellor, one each from Livestock & Dairy Development
- Department and Finance Department;
- (vi)the Treasurer; and
- (vii)the Registrar.
- The term of office of the appointed members shall be three years.
- The quorum for a meeting of the Finance and Planning Committee shall be three members.
Functions Of Finance And Planning Committee.–
The functions of Finance and Planning Committee shall be to–
- consider the annual statement of accounts and the annual and revised budget estimates and advise the Syndicate thereon;
- review periodically the financial position of the University;
- advise the Syndicate on all matters relating to planning, development, finances, investments and accounts of the University; and
- perform such other functions as may be prescribed by Statutes.
