Objectives

  • Testing the food of animal origin (Milk, Meat, Eggs and their By-products such as Yogurt, Cheese etc.)

  • Testing of animals for Microbial diseases such as Tuberculosis, Glanders, Brucellosis, FMD, Salmonelosis etc.)

  • Preparation and Evaluation of Feed, Biologics, Therapeutics, disinfectants and other products related to animal, poultry and fish.

  • Human Resource Development (Training of Students/ Researchers in Advance Techniques such as ELISA, PCR, LC-MS, HPLC, GC, GC-MS, Cell Culture etc.)

  • Postgraduate research in the areas of Microbiology, Biotechnology, Toxicology, Pathology and Epidemiology.

  • Preparation and Evaluation of research projects with reference to projects Quality Assurance of Food of Animal Origin.

  • Epidemiological survey of Livestock diseases of Economic Importance in Collaboration with Livestock and Dairy development, Government of Pakistan.
