9th Annual Alumni Reunion 2018

9th Annual Alumni Reunion of University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore was held on Wednesday, 28th February 2018 at the main lawn of City Campus. A large number of alumni from all over the country participated in this event.  The event started with the arrival of honorable chief guest Dr. Muhammad Sadiq (CEO Sadiq Group of Companies) who was warmly welcomed by the worthy Vice Chancellor Meritorious Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I), along with other distinguished Alumni & Faculty Members.
First event was the most awaited sports activities of alumni, which were enthusiastically contested by all the guests. This time archery was also included among the events. After that the worthy Vice Chancellor/President UVAS Alumni Association presented his welcome address to the distinguished gathering. He in his address briefed about the latest landmarks achieved by UVAS, both in studies and sports, which undoubtedly was a source of pride for every individual in the gathering. He also appreciated the role of alumni and industry in the latter triumph of UVAS. After the welcome address the guests were amused with some astounding stage performances in the form of comedy & music by students, faculty & alumni.
Another awaited event of the evening was the performance of living legend Ustad Hamid Ali Khan, who elated the audience with his melodious voice. Then honorable Chief Guest gave away the prizes to the winners of sports activities and also spoke to the audience who were anxiously waiting to listen to him, He was very much impressed with the overall performance of UVAS. He emphasized on further strengthening the academia industrial linkages and congratulated the worthy Vice Chancellor on organizing such a remarkable event.
As per the glorious traditions of distinguished UVAS family, that we never let our mentors and friends fade away from our memories, a DUA was offered for those precious souls who were with us not long ago, and left us for their heavenly abode.
Last but never the least a delicious dinner was served to the distinguished gathering, which was followed by General Body Elections of Alumni Association Executive Body. All thealumni actively participated in elections. Prof. Dr. Masood Rabbani (Pro-Vice Chancellor UVAS) took oath from the newly elected members. A souvenir containing glimpses of the past events and detailed information regarding UVAS scholarship program along with some pretty gifts were also distributed among the alumni. This was another successful event organised by UVAS, which will certainly be a part of golden memories.
