Biography

Mr. Awais Ghaffar is working as lecturer in the Department of Clinical Sciences (Medicine section) at KBCMA College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CVAS), Narowal (Sub-campus of UVAS, Lahore) since April 22, 2020. He secured DVM degree from the (University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences) UVAS, Lahore in 2016 and pursued his MPhil in Clinical Medicine in 2018 under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Ijaz. His research work during MPhil was on ''Molecular diagnosis and chemotherapy of anaplasmosis in sheep and goats'' which was published in the Journal of Parasitology, a peer reviewed journal of the American society of parasitologists. He has worked as a research associate in the PARC funded research project entitled, ''Mechanistic study of MRSA from Bovine and occupational workers and its application in filed conditions”. He is co-author in various articles published in the peer reviewed journals. He has also honored to secure 1st position in poster competition in International Buffalo Congress (IBC-2019), held on 18-19 Feb 2019 at Pearl Continental, Lahore Pakistan. He has the specialties in the molecular diagnostic techniques, phylogenetic analysis and project proposals designing. He is a member of Pakistan veterinary Medical Council (PVMC). He was awarded with the title of ''Color Holder of hockey team, by UVAS Lahore'' in 2017. As a lecturer, his major responsibilities are teaching of veterinary medicine courses, clinical cases handling, research work and extension services.
