Biography:

Dr. Zia Ullah is Lecturer/Veterinary Surgeon for Pets and Exotics at Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences, Dept of Clinical Medicine and Surgery, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore Pakistan. He holds a DVM degree from UVAS and M. Phil degree in Animal Reproduction. He has been working with The City Vet Clinic, Dubai UAE, for three years and then moved back to this current position. Meanwhile he is working as consultant to WWF Pakistan for Common Leopard Conservation Project and Indian White back vulture Breeding and Conservation Project, Lahore Zoo Lahore and Punjab Wildlife Dept.

He is certified Avian Orthopedic Surgeon and has special interests in companion animal orthopedics.

He has won two research grants from WWF Pakistan in Punjab and Gilgit Baltistan Areas. He is co-author of 73 New DNA sequences of Mitochondrial D-loop region in Urial, Mouflon and 4 sheep breeds (Kachi, Kajli, Thalli, Karakul) in GenBank, NCBI USA. (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov).
