Biography:
Ms. Aysha Iftikhar is a lecturer in the Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan. She has done B.S. (Hons.) and M.S in Environmental Sciences from University of the Punjab, Lahore with distinctions. She conducted her B.S. research work titled “Biosafety study of transgenic sugarcane on layers” in Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology, University of the Punjab, Lahore. She conducted her M.S. research work titled “Quantification of aerobic and anaerobic methanotrophs in thermokarst ponds” in Limnology Department/ Department of Ecology and Genetics, Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden. She won Erasmus Mundus Action 2 Exchange Scholarship to conduct her research work in Uppsala, Sweden during her M.S. She also won merit scholarship for all six years of her university studies.
