Dr. Zubair Farooq is from Ex-PCS service, working in the Finance Department, Govt. of the Punjab. His original post is Divisional Director, Local Fund Audit. He has 20 year experience of work related to Financial Management. He has worked as Director Audit/Resident Auditor at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore and University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore. He has also worked as Director Finance at the Directorate of Staff Development, Wahdat Colony, Lahore.
Currently, Dr. Zubair Farooq is working as Treasurer/Director Finance at the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore. In addition to his regular duties as a Treasurer, he has also been involved in the capacity building sessions in both the capacities as a trainee and a trainer. His has a long list of his publications, achievements, presentations and the attended courses, mainly include;

• Consultation on updating Govt. Service Rules and Regulations
• Participation in the revamping activities of the Finance Department
• Active participation in training sessions at the Divisional Directorate of Local Fund Audit
• Resource person in Indigenous On campus Training (IOT) sessions conducted by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan
• Conducted many in-house training sessions at the Treasurer’s office
• Attended long training courses including Public Policy and Governance at Management and Professional Development Department (MPDD), Govt. of the Punjab, Lahore.
• Attended international training courses at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand and McGill University, Canada.
• Active member of various committees/conferences/meetings etc.
