Online applications are invited from the eligible/suitable candidates for the position of Research Associate on purely contract basis at the salary package of maximum Rs.25,000/- per month or as per qualification in Research Project titled “Development and Commercialization of Sexed Semen Technology for Rapid Geno-Economic Gains in Indigenous Dairy Breeds of Pakistan” in the Department of Theriogenology, UVAS, Main Campus Lahore, for the period of two years with the following qualification as well as terms and conditions:

QUALIFICATION:     

  • First-class DVM degree awarded after 16 years of education (minimum) and currently enrolled in MPhil degree program in the subject of Theriogenology, Physiology, Diploma in Assisted Reproductive Techniques (DART), Biochemistry or Biotechnology, Cellular and Molecular Biology with no third division in academic career from HEC recognized University/Institution.

Candidates having hands-on experience with the following techniques will be preferred:

  • Semen collection and cryopreservation, evaluation, and extender preparation
  • Previous working experience with CASA, large animal handling
  • In vitro embryo production, RT-qPCR, RNA/DNA isolation, purification and quantification, primer designing, bioinformatics, karyotyping, fluoroscopy, artificial insemination, and flowcytometry
