Online applications are invited from the eligible/suitable candidates for the position of Research Associate on purely contract basis at the consolidated salary package of Rs.25,000/- per month in Research Project titled “Development and Commercialization of Sexed Semen Technology for Rapid Geno-Economic Gains in Indigenous Dairy Breeds of Pakistan” in the Department of Theriogenology, UVAS, Main Campus Lahore, with the following qualification as well as terms and conditions:

QUALIFICATION:     

  • First class M.Phil degree awarded after 18 years of education (minimum) in subject of Theriogenology, Physiology, Diploma in Assisted Reproductive Techniques (DART), Biochemistry or Biotechnology, Cellular and Molecular Biology with no third division in academic career from HEC recognized University/Institution.

The candidates having hands on experience on following techniques will be preferred:

  • Semen collection, evaluation and extender preparation
  • Previous working experience with CASA, large animal handling and semen cryopreservation
  • In vitro embryo production, RT-qPCR, RNA/DNA isolation, purification and quantification, primer designing, bioinformatics, karyotyping , fluoroscopy, artificial insemination, and flowcytometry
