2024

It is shared with delight that under the dynamic leadership of worthy Principal, Meritorious Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus (DLAI, T.I) and his commitment to provide healthy co-curricular activities, new sports facilities have been established for students. These included gym and exercise equipment, Table tennis Hall and Arm wrestling table installation at KBCMA, CVAS, Narowal. In this connection, different games were started at CVAS Narowal. In the first phase following games are scheduled to play among students of DVM and LAD. Hence, the games of arm wrestling and Table tennis were played in the Table tennis Hall and Gym room. The students of different semesters of DVM were enthusiastic and excited in these healthy competitions, displayed their sports skills and learned tips for healthy exercise. The students acknowledged and appreciated worthy Principal for taking special interest and providing facilities to promote healthy sporting activities for students and vowed to participate on regular basis in these games with full spirit and dedication. More exciting games and competitions will be played in the next phase.

It is to share with you all that 1st floodlight Volleyball tournament was successfully conducted at CVAS,Narowal. The final of the tournament was held between students of DVM 2nd and 4th semester last night. It was a nail biting contest won by students of 4th semester. The program kicked off with recitation of Holy Quran followed by National anthem of Pakistan. The worthy Principal, Meritorious Professor, Dr. Muhammad Younus Rana was the chief guest of the final event. He distributed the trophies and cash prizes to winners & runner up teams along with Assistant director sports and other faculty members. The students applauded the establishment of volleyball court and floodlight facility under the direction of worthy Principal and supervision of Assistant director, sports. It is shared with immense pleasure that the different sports teams of CVAS Narowal made exciting winnings in various events at the 19 th Annual Sports Festival of UVAS Lhr under the leadership and guidance of Principal, CVAS Narowal, Meritorious Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus (T.I). Principal, CVAS Narowal, all the faculty members and students participated in the inauguration session and matches of the Annual Sports Festival-UVAS Lahore. The students of CVAS Narowal won many medals, positions, and the rest of the campus students actively participated as spectators to encourage their companions, friends, and teammates. In this regard, Assistant Director Sports, CVAS Narowal, Mr. Maqsood Ahmed monitored, managed, and supervised many matches at the event-day from the beginning of the 'Students March' till the concluding ceremony. Total 16 positions were grabbed by the CVAS Narowal students including 5 Gold Medals, 7 Silver Medals, and 4 Bronze Medals. Principal, CVAS Narowal was also delighted to hear the results and congratulated the students especially, Mr. Maqsood Ahmad, Assistant Director Sports, CVAS Narowal, and showed his best wishes for all the winners. The Principal, faculty, and staff of CVAS Narowal are highly thankful to the Sports Board (Prof. Dr. Aftab Ahmad Anjum, Prof. Dr. Rana Ayub, Director Sports, Rana Amjad, and Prof. Dr. Rao Ijaz) of UVAS Lhr for arranging this delightful sports day under the patronage of Worthy Vice Chancellor, UVAS Lahore, Prof. Dr. Nasim Ahmad (S.I) and also enjoyed the kind hospitality of the Sports Board. It is shared with immense pleasure that the Faculty Members & DVM students represented UVAS Narowal Campus at the Jashn-e-Baharan Festival at Faiz Ahmad Faiz park and District Comlex, Narowal. The Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Prof. Ahsan Iqbal, Ex Livestock Secretory & present Commissioner Gujranwala division Gujranwala Mr. Naveed Haider Sherazi and Chairman, Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission PAEC, Dr. Raja Ali Raza Anwar were the chief guests. Principal, KBCMA, CVAS- Narowal, Meritorious Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus briefed them about the role of UVAS in uplifting the livestock sector in the country and the Veterinary & Educational services provided by KBCMA, CVAS, Narowal. Stall of the KBCMA, CVAS- Narowal under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rizwan Yousuf, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yaqoob, Dr. Zeeshan Iqbal and Dr. Muhammad Rafi-Ullah remained throughout the center of attraction for all the chief guests, professionals and visitors. Deputy Commissioner Narowal, Mr. Muhammad Ashraf, DPO, Mr. Rana Tahir Rehman, besides Assistant commissioners (ACs) Rana Zafar Ullah Khan, Farooq Azam, Khizar Zahoor along with other departmental officers and notable citizens were also present on this occasion. Furthermore, The Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Prof. Ahsan Iqbal also inaugurated the Diagnostic Center Narowal (DCN), where Principal KBCMA, CVAS- Narowal, Meritorious Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus was the guest of Honour. The DCN is a satellite center of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) at Narowal. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between KBCMA, CVAS- Narowal and PAEC Diagnostic Center for Cancer, Narowal will be signed with the consent of the Worthy Vice Chancellor UVAS, Lahore, Prof. Dr. Nasim Ahmad (SI) for the Diagnostic & Research activities.

2022

Department of Pathology arranged Field visit of Students to a Poultry Farm in the village of Narowal to provide free consultancy services to poor farmers in the best interest of society under the supervision of the Meritorious Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus (T.I), Principal CVAS Narowal and Mr. Muhammad Sulman Ali Taseer, Lecturer, Department of Pathology.

Students of One Health Society CVAS Narowal arranged field awareness sessions with school and college students under the supervision of the Meritorious Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus (T.I), Principal CVAS Narowal and Dr. Waqas Ahmad, Assistant Professor (Epidemiology and Public Health) guided the students as mentor and convener of the society. Students spread information regarding food borne diseases, dog bite injuries, its treatment and identification of rabid dog.

The department of parasitology, CVAS Narowal organised various free outreach activities in the remote villages and slaughter house to provide services to the food producers and to connect knowledge, skills and awareness. Various stakeholders sponsored these days.

2021

The Department of Clinical Sciences organized five days virtual BRM training at CVAS, Narowal which was arranged by the joint venture of Association for Bio-risk Management (ABM) and Health Security Partners (HSP), USA. In the closing ceremony, the worthy Vice Chancellor, UVAS, Prof. Dr. Nasim Ahmad, SI, Worthy Principal CVAS, Narowal, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus delivered remarks. The ABM team comprised of Dr. Asghar Ali, Excutive Director ABM; Dr. Shukat Khan, Training Program Manager; Dr. Zakir Hussain, Master trainer; Dr. Arshad Jaffar, Master Trainer ABM were also virtually joined in the closing session.
