Biography
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus (HEC approved supervisor), is a Professor of Pathology & Founder Principal of College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Jhang, sub-campus UVAS, Lahore, Pakistan; Post Doctorate from University of Minnesota, USA and Doctorate in Pathology and Public Health from University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore-Pakistan; Won at least six academic merit scholarships, Star Award 2009 by South Asians Publications, Excellence Award by PVMC and PVMA for the year of 2013,2014 & 2015 and Research Productivity Award 2013-14 & 2014-2015 by Pakistan Council for Science & Technology, Govt. of Pakistan, Motivated, dedicated and flexible individual; demonstrated ability for knowledge translation in class room, laboratory and field settings. Proven ability to strategic planning & management, administration and execution / coordination of development programs and research projects; Able to develop research & public policy documents independently and to conduct & organize high level meetings, seminars & workshops; Excellent abilities to lead a team and or to work as a team player; Ready to travel anywhere in the world. Appreciation letters were awarded by the Vice Chancellor, UVAS, Lahore, P&D Department, Govt. of Punjab and PVMC, Islamabad in recognition of the services rendered by Prof. Dr. M. Younus for his excellent performance for physical and academic development of a new institution CVAS, Jhang. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus has produced 15 Postgraduates (M.Phil & Ph.D) as a major supervisor and more than 100 peer reviewed research publications in HEC recognized and impact factor journals, 10 research based Books and presented research findings in more than 30 international and national scientific conferences in various countries including advanced developed countries of the world. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus is the member of more than 40 professional bodies including life member of University of Minnesota, USA, life member PVMC, Islamabad and life member of Alumni Association, UVAS, Lahore. Dr. Younus is contributing in the field of administration, academic, development and research with full spirit, dedication and excellent vision. He established the College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Jhang in shortest period in the history of Pakistan and has made it permanently accredited institution from PVMC, Islamabad. He added 25 acre more land in the College from the Govt. by struggling hard. He has constructed Cafeteria, R. O Plant and a Big Jamia Mosque in the College on donation basis. In this way he is playing a key role for the uplift of scientific knowledge in the field of pathology and veterinary sciences and trying to introduce the ways for the translation of knowledge, skills and techniques for the improvement of livestock, poultry and public health sector in the country and ultimately playing role in poverty alleviation and strengthening the economy of the country.

- Identification and analysis of different serotypes of Salmonella in feed, poultry and in Humans and dealing with the zoonotic issues especially related to Salmonella and Mycobacteria by using latest tools like PCR etc.
