CVAS Jhang Marks 75 Years of Pak-China Friendship with Seminar on Livestock, Academia & Youth Empowerment

To commemorate 75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, the CVAS Dairy Club and Fikro Fun society, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CVAS) Jhang, organized a seminar focused on livestock development, academic exchange, and youth empowerment in the dairy sector. The event opened with recitation from the Holy Quran and a Naat, setting a dignified tone.  Mr. Frank Wang, Assistant Counselor, International Student Office, Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU), China, joined online and congratulated CVAS on the 75th anniversary. He introduced HZAU’s flagship programs — “Meeting China” and the “Cross-Cultural Salon” — and encouraged Pakistani students to apply to HZAU, highlighting education as the bedrock of Pak-China friendship. Final-year DVM student Muhammad Faisal presented an overview of Chinese assistance to Pakistan, including CPEC energy and infrastructure projects, defense collaboration, agricultural technology transfer, and thousands of scholarships for Pakistani students. Dr. Muhammad Zahid Farooq, Convener, CVAS Dairy Club, shared his PhD experience at HZAU and told students abount fully funded Chinese Government Scholarships for 2027 and summer research exchanges in Hubei Province for CVAS students. Dr. Syed Aun Muhammad, Senior Tutor, praised the initiative and urged students to emulate the discipline and research ethics common to both nations. Principal Prof. Dr. Arfan Zaman called the anniversary a “Golden Jubilee of Iron Brotherhood” and thanked all speakers and organizers. The program concluded with certificate distribution, a green tea ceremony symbolizing shared cultural heritage, and a vote of thanks. Attendees gathered for a group photo under the banner: “75 Years of Dosti – Zindabad.”The organizers extend heartfelt gratitude to Meritorious Prof. Dr. Rana Muhammad Younas, Worthy Vice Chancellor, for his visionary leadership and steadfast support of student societies; to Prof. Dr. Aneela Zameer Durrani, Dean FVS, for her gracious patronage and inspiring motivation; and to Prof. Dr. Arfan Zaman, Principal CVAS Jhang, for his constant encouragement and for fostering an enabling environment for CVAS societies.
