The Seminar cum Workshop on the Awareness of Public Health Concern Pathogens of Fancy Birds, organized under the HEC-NRPU Project #14661, will be held on 3rd February 2026 at CVAS, Jhang. This one-day academic and practical event is designed to enhance awareness and technical competence regarding zoonotic and public health–significant pathogens of fancy birds, with particular emphasis on Chlamydia psittaci and other emerging avian pathogens. The program integrates expert lectures, One Health perspectives, and hands-on laboratory training, covering current disease status, public health implications, diagnostic approaches, and molecular epidemiology. Through interactive technical sessions and practical demonstrations on nucleic acid extraction and PCR-based molecular detection, the workshop aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and applied diagnostics, benefiting students, researchers, veterinarians, and other stakeholders involved in avian health and zoonosis prevention.
