 2nd  semester
 | DVM | City + Jhnag  + Narowal Campus | Instructions for Students
It is mandatory for the students to log into their CTS Panel 15 minutes prior to the start of the paper. After that, they will not be allowed to login into the CTS system. Students are advised to start their paper at the scheduled date and time, after that they will not be allowed to start the paper.  Maximum grace time to start the online exam will not be more than 10 minutes. If a student fails to start the paper on time he/she will not be allowed to take the examination. After login, start the exam by selecting the "Semester" "Subject”, otherwise he/she will not be able to start the paper at the right time. CTS/UMS ID and Password is the examination identity of the student. Students must change their default password; otherwise anyone can easily attempt, control, interrupt and misuse his/her exam. Re-login option will be available only for those students who start the paper timely, but they have to re-login within 10 Minutes. Students should never share their password with anyone. If they have to share it for some troubleshooting then they must change it afterwards as soon as possible. Never save your password on anyone else's device/ phone. If you have done so, change your password immediately. Read the instructions provided below CAPTCHA carefully. If nothing is written there it means you have to type the whole CAPTCHA. If the instruction is there, read and follow carefully. Arrangements of stable internet connectivity and associated logistics in advance is the sole responsibility of the students throughout the online examination. Only those students should attempt to log in the system whose exams are scheduled on the said date and time. Do not attempt to use Refresh,  Back and Forward buttons in any case, as it may end up displaying false timers of your system, whereas at the backend CTS Exam timer is operating only at the server thus you will only end up wasting your precious time. Only CTS Server Timestamp, displayed above each question, will be final/authenticated. Do not try to login on multiple devices as it will interrupt the previous session and your exam. It is recommended to NOT use cell phones for examination especially using Mobile Data. As incoming calls/messages may interrupt exam sessions. Restart your internet devices like WiFi Router / Access point, 4G Devices at least 20 minutes before the start of the exam. Students SHOULD NOT use the internet lower than 3G network to attempt the paper. Students should not waste their time, if they get any error during online exams which may be due to internet time out or any other issue, so don’t waste time to take pic / videos just re-login within 10 minutes to rectify the problem.  Students may login on time but they are advised to not click the “Start exam” button before the scheduled time. Students are used to repeatedly attempting to click the “Start exam” button before the start of paper time which sometimes makes their page unresponsive, thus you can miss your 10 minutes starting slot at the start of exam. Please make sure to start the exam at scheduled time and do not attempt to start it before time to remain on the safe side.  The examination will be conducted ONLY ONCE, regardless of student’s failure to join or attempt or complete the real time-online examination, or failure of either internet/electricity during the stipulated time of examination. It is mandatory for the students to use Google Chrome Only to take the paper. They are required to install an updated version prior to the examination. No excuse of the student will be accepted in case of failure of electricity, disconnection of internet during the time frame of the examination. No extra time will be given in this regard. The students who have no proper access to internet / electricity facilities are advised to submit / email to their respective Dean of Faculty well before the examination. Their grievances will be evaluated and their arrangements for online examination will be made in their respective campuses subject to rationality of their problem. Those students who will avail the facility to take the online examination on their respective campuses after seeking approval of relevant Dean of Faculty, their logins will be opened only in a particular computer lab as per date sheet. Academic Heads will nominate the invigilation staff for those students who have been allowed to take an online exam on their respective campuses. They will also provide list(s) of student(s) to the Director, I.T. and the Controller of Examinations, so that their Login IDs could be restricted to open only at a given venue.  As the UVAS-CTS system is time-bound, therefore, the window of CTS examination will be shut down automatically after stipulated time whether the student has completed his/her examination or not.   |
