Biography
Dr.Qamar-un-Nisa, currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology, Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, (UVAS) Lahore, Pakistan. She has joined UVAS as Lecturer since 2007 just after completing her graduation (DVM) from UAF. After obtaining degree of M. Phil in Pathology, she was awarded Ph. D indigenous scholarship by Higher Education Commission (HEC)-Government of Pakistan. She has over 15 years teaching and research experience in the field of Pathology. She is representative UVAS faculty member for Asian Association of Veterinary Schools (AAVS), University of Tokyo-Japan. she is the member of Board of studies of Pathology Department. She is advisor of Q & N society of UVAS. Dr Qamar has successfully supervised more than 20 Postgraduate students. Currently, she is supervising MPhil and PhD students. She has attended many conferences and seminars nationally and internationaly. She has also attended 5th Turkish Vet. Pathology Congress, Bursa-Turkey and orally presented her research on ‘’Histopathological and hematological analysis of broiler chicken experimentally infected with pathogenic E.coli.’’ She has also been invited and participated in XVII European symposium on the quality of Eggs and Eggs product and XIV European symposium on the quality of poultry meat at Cesme-Izmir Turkey.
She is an active member for professional services in the department as well as in university e.g she is a member Faculty Board of Studies, Faculty of Veterinary Science, UVAS, Member University Selection Committee for the selection of chief proctor, Member Faculty synopsis scrutiny committee for M.Phil. Secretary/Member of Editorial Board University Megazine (VISION).
She also has won travel grants from Higher Education Commission, Govt of Pakistan and Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) to attend conference internationally. She has published more than 20 national and international research papers. She is co-author of more than 20 Chapters in different recognized Books
