 BiographyDr. Muhammad Sohaib, is Associate  Professor in  the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition, Faculty of Bio-Sciences,  University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore–Pakistan since December 1,  2016. He has completed his B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture with major subject as Food  Technology in 2009, M.Sc. (Hons.) Food Technology in 2011 and Ph.D (Food  Technology) in 2015 from National Institute of Food Science and Technology,  University of Agriculture, Faisalabad–Pakistan. During his M.Sc (Hons) degree,  he has served as Research Associate in the HEC funded research project entitled  “Selective deposition of bio-antioxidant in skeletal muscles of meat animal  by dietary supplementation in feed to enhance the quality and shelf life of  meat and meat products”.   
                          In his PhD research, he has explored the  potential of antioxidants such as quercetin and alpha tocopherol for developing  functional chicken meat and meat products for human nutrition. He has also  worked at Meat Science Group, Department of Animal Sciences, Iowa State  University, USA during the course of his PhD where he worked on evaluating the  potential of in vitro antioxidants for reducing off odour compounds  like aldehydes, ketones, alcohols etc produced with processing as well  as storage in chicken meat patties.  Besides, he also attended “36th  Annual Sausage and Processed Meats Short Course” and “HACCP Workshop for Meat,  Poultry and Egg Plants” organized by Meat Laboratory, Iowa State University,  USA. He is also the lead auditor for Halal foods and carried out several audits  for food industries in collaboration with IFANCA. Until today, he has authored  24 publications (16 International & 8 National) in various Journals of  Scientific repute. He is also a reviewer of some notable journals of Food  Science and Nutrition domain. He is the member Pakistan Society of Food  Scientists and Technologists.    Area of researchDr. Sohaib is interested in  exploring the possibilities of using various feed additives as well as novel  functional strategies to produce the functional food with special reference to  healthy meat and meat products. Additionally, he is intended to device  pragmatic strategies to tackle the escalating incidence of nutritional  deficiencies with special reference to micronutrients.
