Post graduate studies are required to obtain advancements  in this specific discipline. Keeping in view the requirement, the department is  offering M.Phil and PhD in Food and Nutrition with following objectives: 
                          
                             To produce highly trained manpower  equipped with modern techniques for research in the discipline of food and  nutrition Application  of these techniques to improve human health To  find new functional foods with better impact on consumers health To  understand the chemical composition of traditional foods and their application  for the management of different chronic diseases To  understand the metabolic pathways of different nutrients in the body and to  modify them through nutrition to improve life Scope/Jobs
