Training/programs to improve access to basic services

2024

On September 10, 2024, the Department of Dairy Technology, UVAS Ravi Campus Pattoki, in collaboration with Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd. (ZTBL), organized a Farmers' Gathering workshop focused on the dairy supply chain.
- The workshop provided farmers with valuable training and knowledge related to improving their dairy production practices, supply chain management, and access to financial services.
- Farmers were educated on best practices in dairy farming, milk handling, and sustainable agricultural methods, which are essential for improving the quality and availability of dairy products.
- ZTBL representatives informed participants about financial resources, loans, and schemes available to dairy farmers, improving their access to essential banking and financial services that are crucial for expanding their operations and ensuring sustainability.
- The collaboration helped bridge gaps between the farmers and the necessary support systems, enhancing access to both technical knowledge and financial tools. This approach ultimately contributed to improving their livelihood and access to critical services needed for a sustainable dairy supply chain.

2023

Following local trainings have been conducted under the Capacity Building Project on Milk Value Chain, Department of Dairy Technology for Dairy Farmers, Punjab Food Authority Officials, Industry Personnel, Veterinarians, Dairy Processors & Consumers.

Following trainings have been conducted under the Department of Dairy Technology on Milk Value Chain for Dairy Farmers, Punjab Food Authority Officials, Industry Personnel, Veterinarians and Dairy consumers. 2021

Department of Dairy Technology has conducted following short courses for farmers and industry stakeholders. The main purpose of these courses is to provide hands-on training to improve their access to basic services and get better livelihood for themselves. It will also help to produce skilled work force for the dairy industry.

    • Three days Course on ‘Mozzarella cheese Processing’ Funded by farmers
    • Five days course on Cream cheese, Mozzarella cheese and Cheddar Cheese Processing funded by Development Project Government of Punjab
