5. Diagnostic Laboratory Design
The lab is providing technical support to government and private sector in establishing
disease diagnostic labs. The aim of the lab is to harmonize early disease diagnostic
system in livestock and poultry sector all over the country. These guidelines for
designing/establishing disease diagnostic labs are based on international criteria for a
testing / diagnostic lab. The lab established on this pattern will have quality of testing of
international standard.
6. Consultancy Service over ISO/IEC 17025:2005 & HACCP
UDL is working over international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005 since august 2006. It has
got international recognition by achieving accreditation over ISO/IEC 17025:2005 in
2010. The lab has well qualified staff trained over international standards and now lab is
capable to provide consultancy to sister institutes in developing quality management
system and to improve quality of work as per international standards.
