Eligibility criteria for Admission
1.
M.Phil. Fisheries and Aquaculture
16 years of schooling or 4 years education (130 credit hours) after F.Sc./Grade12 equivalents. Minimum
2
nd
Div. with 50% marks according to annual system or minimum CGPA 2.50/4.00 according to the
semester system from a recognized University in Zoology, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Biology,
Biological Sciences, M.B.B.S, BDS, DVM and B.Sc. Agriculture, Applied Microbiology or M.Sc. in
Zoology, Biology, Biological Sciences.
Entrance Test by the University:
Candidates will have to clear Departmental Entrance Test conducted
by the University related to the subject for which admission application will be submitted after the
submission of applications and passing marks will be 50% in entry test.

Ph.D. Fisheries and Aquaculture
The candidates must have degree in M.Sc. Hons./M.Phil. in Zoology, Fisheries & Aquaculture, Wildlife
& Ecology, Wildlife and Range management or any other related field with minimum of 1
st
Division
according to annual system or not less than CGPA 3.00/4.00 according to semester system from
HEC recognized universities and only registered candidates from concerned council like PVMC, PMDC
etc. will be eligible where applicable.
Entrance Test by the University:
Candidates will have to clear Departmental Entrance Test conducted
by the University related to the subject for which admission application will be submitted.
Applicant must
have to earn 60% to qualify the test.
1. The employees of the Government/other agencies nominated for the degree of Doctor of
Philosophy at this University shall have to take leave to pursue studies as a regular
student, failing which he/she shall not be admitted.
