2nd International Workshop on

Mechanism of Disease and Poultry Pathology

will be held at City Campus of University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore

from 2nd to 4th of March 2020.

The Department of Pathology UVAS Lahore & Pathobiology CVAS Jhang in collaboration with Global Health Pathology Network of CL Davis and SW Thompson DVM Foundation USA is organizing a 3-day workshop on “Basic Mechanism of Disease and Poultry Pathology” from 2nd to 4th of March 2020 at the City Campus of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore. Dr. Corrie Brown, Professor at University of Georgia and Dr. Tanja Zabka, Senior Pathologist and Co-founder of Global Health Pathology Network will provide hands on training to the participants.  In this workshop, most sessions will entail studying mechanisms of disease that occur across all species, understanding how to describe lesions, and creating morphologic diagnoses. By appreciating the basic mechanisms of disease, and how they function in each organ system, professionals can better know the clinical disease and can more effectively use gross findings to render a diagnosis, and/or select relevant tissues and the tests to perform. This workshop will focus on the pathogenesis of disease in various body systems, ending with case-based reviews of specific poultry diseases, to include mechanisms and pathogenesis.  All sessions will be interactive and participatory, and use Adult Learning Principles. Field veterinarians, students and faculty members are invited to attend the workshop by registering through the registration performa attached here. Hard copy of this form must reach the office of registration committee office by 7th of February 2020. No person will be facilitated after that. Seats are available on first come first serve basis.
