  1. Applications are invited from the Pakistani Nationals, who are not married to a foreign national, on the prescribed form (separate for TTS and BPS-17 &above posts) obtainable free of cost from the Registrar’s Office during office hours or can be downloaded from University website (www.uvas.edu.pk) and on plain paper (for posts of BPS 01 to 16) for the following posts for making appointments on regular/ TTS / purely temporary basis in the University and in its project at CVAS, Jhang with the prescribed qualifications mentioned against each post.

  2. Applications are required in quadruplicate for the posts of Associate Professor and triplicate for the posts of Assistant Professor & Lecturer with attested copies of testimonials, certificates, transcripts and experience certificates with specific dates alongwith one recent attested passport size photograph and a crossed bank draft / pay order of Rs.500/- (non refundable) (BPS-17 & above) drawn in favour of Treasurer, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore.

  3. Persons already employed in Government or other organizations should submit their applications through proper channel within due date. The requisite No Objection Certificate from present employer must reach in the Office of the Registrar before or on the last date for the receipt of applications failing which such applications will be treated as rejected and no call for interview will be issued.

  4. All Government employees who intend to apply for any post through proper channel shall clarify through the Heads of the attached departments that there is no pending inquiry / outstanding dues against them. Moreover, there are no adverse remarks in any of their annual confidential reports. These conditions are necessary for the grant of departmental permission certificate / No Objection Certificate (NOC).

  5. Incomplete applications or those received after the due date will not be entertained.

  6. The candidates holding professional degrees must be recognized / registered by the relevant Council i.e. Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council.

  7. The University reserves the right :

    1. not to fill any or all the advertised posts without assigning any reason.

    2. to adjust/transfer/post the selected candidate at any campus/centre of the University.

    3. to Consider and appoint the candidates on any lower cadre post.

    4. to Short list the applications / candidates in accordance with the criteria to be determined by the Vice Chancellor.

    5. to Increase or decrease the No. of posts (BPS 01 to 16)

  8. Interview call letters will be issued to only eligible candidates and ineligible candidates will be informed separately (BPS-17 & above).

  9. Age should not be less than 18 years and more than 35 years for the posts of BPS 16 & below.

  10. 2% quota in each category of posts is reserved for disabled persons.

  11. Applications complete in all respect should reach in the Office of the Registrar, University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore upto 16-02-2010 during office hours.

5-years post-Ph.D teaching / research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.

 Publications:

10 publications (with at least 4 publications in last 5 years) in the HEC recognized journals.

Ph.D. from a recognized and reputable Institution in the relevant field.

 Experience:

 Publications:

10 research publications (with at least 4 publications in the last 5 years) in internationally abstracted journals recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
