Biography

Dr. Imran Altaf is a Member of the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Lahore where his work mainly focused on the development of novel biologics for the immunoprophylaxis of livestock and poultry. He not only work on the development and optimization of new microbiological testing methodologies to support the industrial sector of Pakistan but also focuses on promoting students academics and sharing knowledge about research. He also serves as member of activities related to accreditation of QOL according to ISO-17025. Dr. Imran altaf Prior to working at UVAS, has worked as manager production and technical advisor in different esteemed vaccine production unites. He is DVM, and MSc (Hons) from this esteemed Institute. Dr. Imran Altaf has a PhD Microbiology from UAF where he worked to initiate the trend of multivalent vaccines in livestock.  His research interests include investigative microbiology, advance cell culture techniques, vaccinology, isolation and molecular characterization of pathogens, immunology,  epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment, prevention and control of livestock & poultry disease. Currently he has optimized different toxicological laboratory assay for the mutagenic as well as genotoxic assessment of different environmental pollutants.
