University of Veterinary and Animal
Sciences (CUVAS) Bahawalpur.

dignitaries were present. CUVAS has
been established as a public sector
university under subsection (1) of
Section 3 of the Cholistan University of
Veter inary and Animal Sc iences
Bahawalpur Act 2018. The University of
Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore
was entrusted with the construction
work of the CUVAS by the Punjab
government with Prof Dr Talat Naseer
Pasha as focal person. The new
university has three faculties of Bio-
Sciences, Veterinary Sciences and
Animal Production and Technology
comprising18 departments along with
complete administrative setup, including
Registrar, Treasurer and Controller of
Examination offices, etc.
A Rs 2.943 billion project, the CUVAS
wi l l promote research and higher
education in livestock and related
sectors in south Punjab areas.
