HABITAT:

  • It is common throughout in Pakistan, along road sides,
  • In garden and grows upto an elevation of 5000 ft.

DESCRIPTION:

  • A tree attaining the height of 10-12 m
  • Leaves pinnate, ovate or lanceolate, serrate, glabrous on the upper and lower surface
  • Fragrant lilac flowers.
  • Drupe ellipsoid globose with four seeds

  • Bitter

PERIOD OF OCCURRENCE:

  • Flowers are appearing around March. The tree fruits in May.
