Biography

Dr. Muhammad Kashif Maanis a young lecturer in the Department of Clinical Medicine & Surgery (Surgery section) since 2014. He secured DVM in 2012. He pursued his M.Phil in subject of Veterinary Surgery (UVAS) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arif Khan. His work during M.Phil was on “Clinico-biochemical study on Xylazine-Ketamine and Isoflurane anesthesia in rabbits undergoing ovariohysterectomy”. He has the specialties in small and large animal soft tissue surgery, diagnosis and treatment of equine lameness, diagnostic radiology and ultrasonography and anesthesia and pain management.He has also 11 month teaching and research experience as a lecturer at College of veterinary and Animal Sciences, Jhang sub campus University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore.He is member of Pakistan society of anesthesia and pain management and Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC). His main responsibilities are teaching of Veterinary Surgery courses, clinical case handling, research and extension services. He has the vision for the CMS Department to develop a state of  modern surgical techniques and latest diagnostic tools to treat small and large animal surgical problems on country level to enhance animal’s survival and promote Veterinary Surgery in Pakistan.

  • Modern techniques in soft tissue surgery (Laparoscopic surgery).
  • Diagnostic radiology and ultrasonography.
