Biography

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arif Khan presently working as Chairman, Department of Clinical Medicine & Surgery, UVAS, Lahore. Dr. Muhammad Arif Khan Completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 1984 securing CGPA 3.94 and was awarded Gold Medal from the College of Veterinary Sciences, Lahore which was affiliated with University of Agriculture, Faisababad. Dr. Khan completed his M.Sc (Hons) in 1988 with CGPA 4.00 and awarded silver medal in the discipline of Veterinary Surgery from the same institution. He got Ph.D. in the discipline of Veterinary Surgery in the Department of Clinical Medicine & Surgery, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore in 2003. Dr. Khan has earned a good name in the field of Veterinary Surgery and produced 39 M.Sc/M.Phil students till date. At present he is acting as supervisor of 05 students who are at different phases of their doctoral program in the department Clinical Medicine & Surgery. Apart from academic responsibilities Dr. Khan is also acting as Director, Students Affairs since the establishment of this university. He is also involved in many official assignments in the University. He has been acting as Convener for the committees constituted for the rehabilitation program during the earth quake and flood disasters in the past. He was awarded a shield as acknowledgment as his remarkable services from Chief Minister of Punjab in 2011.
