Dr. Maqsood Ahmad Assistant Professor

Dr. Maqsood Ahmad holds M.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Agricultural Economics with basic degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). He worked as Researcher in Livestock Production & Research Institute. He is well versed in Economics & Business of Livestock Sector. His research thesis was on economics of milk production. He has five publications in national and one in international journal. He has a potential for preparation of feasibility reports for livestock farming business; and preparation & evaluation of developmental projects.
He worked in progeny testing program of Nili Ravi Buffalo and Sahiwal Cattle for Bull production. He was a good extension worker for technology transfer & livestock development. He worked as a successful Farm Manager and managed a profitable farming and dairy production.  He also worked in the Project of Buffalo Research Pattoki and identified the best Buffalo breed and Breeders in the Buffalo dominated area.
After joining the UVAS, he has been writing articles on production of Livestock for profit making for the farmers.  He has wide range of contacts with the Livestock farmers. He is well versed in preparation of projects & feasibilities on milk, beef and mutton production
