The Institute of Continuing Education and Extension came into
existence along with the University in July, 2002.This institute
offers a vast array of Continuing Education programme and services
to learners. We are committed to you and your future.. Continuing
Education Extension programs define the future of Veterinary
education, a future that acknowledges that you should never stop
learning. ICE&E provides educational opportunity for people of all
ages.
These education programs yields partnership among livestock
producers, companion animals owners, veterinarians, extension
specialists, university faculty and public sector. Such continuing
education programs continue to explore ways to bring research based
expertise of this university to your community.
The institute offers courses on Social Sciences and Livestock
Extension Education to DVM students. Likewise, short refreshers
courses are offered to Veterinary graduates serving in public
sectors and those engaged in private practice or business. These
courses are designed keeping in view the needs and challenges faced
by livestock, poultry, fisheries, dairy and wildlife industries. The
courses are formulated in consultation with highly qualified and
experienced teachers, of the university. The institute extends
facilities for certificate and diploma courses to matriculates in
Veterinary and Animal Sciences in collaboration with government,
semi-government and private organizations including L&DD Department,
NAVTEC, Nestle and UNDP. Institute also offer short training
programs, workshops, seminars and conferences along with other
professional development activities tailored to the needs of
stakeholders and the community. In this way the institute is
effectively contributing to human resource development efforts of
the government and through the services of its product bringing
about well-being of the farming community and a boost to rural
economy.
The future vision of the institute comprises expansion and quality
improvement in its education and training facilities so as to bring
