Postgraduate Diploma - Farm Economics and Business

Introduction

The Post Graduate Diploma in farm economics and Business Management have been designed for making the participant adept in business skills and economic analysis tools for rational decision making, optimal utilization of resources and profit maximization in different sector of livestock farming. They will learn all requisite tools for theoretical and empirical analysis of the problems and opportunities in agricultural farm production, marketing and management.

The program aims at:

  • Enhancing the understanding of business dynamics in farming.
  • Making the participant equipped adept in business management technique i.e. preparation of technical and financial feasibilities, making business plan, financial management tool for the establishing their business.
  •  Making the participants skilled in the tools of economic analysis, resource mobilization, allocation and its efficient utilization.
  • Imparting basic knowledge /  technique for optimal marketing of the products at local and international market level
  • Triggering small business activities in the rural population and alleviation of poverty through employment generation

Program Design:

The PGDFEB is comprised of two semesters. Each semester will be of 16 weeks including one week of final exams.  The total number of credit hours will be 30, having 10 courses each of 3 credit hours.

Usefulness of the Diploma:

FEB Diploma holder will be given admission in MBA Morning (3.5 Year) and Evening program (five seats in each program), as per decision of the Admission committee.\
